New Blogger Layout

After so many months of trying and trying of making my blog looks great, finally I did it. Thanks to the scrappinblogs.com I made a new face to my three blogging site. Although it's not so personalized like the other blogs, I'm so happy with the output. Still, I will not stop in searching on some tutorials on how to personalized the blog. Hope my visitors will like it too...

Happy Birthday to the Man of my Life

Belated happy birthday to the one and only man who completed my life. Licarl Manubag Patromo ( I love typing his full name hehehe...) Last November 17 he turned 36. Gosh! four more years and he will be 40. I planned to buy a cake for him since our first time as a couple to celebrate his birthday. But both of us didn't have time to buy so we decided to have an ice cream instead.

My hubby enjoying his favorite flavor: cookies and cream

So sweet hehehe... My only wished to him is to have a good health. I want to be with him for the next 30 years or more of his life. Hope God permits... Love u Daddy Lic!

Stairway in Heaven (Philippine TV-Series)

Hubby and Me really engrossed in this Filipino version of Stairway in Heaven. How we wished the clock will immediately strike at  9:00 P.M hehehe... At first we were not so fanatic in the first few episodes of it, until Jodi (Rhian Ramos) got an amnesia due to the planned accident of Eunice (Glaiza de Castro) and that's where are addiction started. Last night, I cried when Jena (Rhian Ramos also) confronted again Cholo (Dingdong Dantes) and this time she has the heart necklace. The only evidence to prove that she is Jodi. But because Cholo was brainwashed by Tristan (TJ Trinidad), he still thinking that she was fooled by Jodi and didn't gave her a chance to explain and left. But because love still remained in the heart of Cholo, he stopped and turn back to Jodi and saw the heart necklace at her grip. Of course all the hatred was melted and he hugged and kissed Jodi as their expressing their love to eac other.  True love really prevailed.

Tonight, will be another exciting episode as Cholo and Jodi will have a revenge to Tristan and know the culprit behind the accident of Jodi. As I surf the net, I found the cast of characters and sypnopsis of this telenovela phenomenon.

Jodie and Cholo grew up together. They were always there for each other. Tragedy begins when Cholo begins his studies overseas without Jodi. Jodi's father remarries Maita, who takes in her two children, Tristan and Eunice, from a previous marriage with Dindo . Eunice is envious of the life that Jodi leads and is determined to take everything away from her, including Cholo. Tristan begins to develop feelings for his stepsister, however Jodi still loves Cholo.
Five years later, tragedy occurs when Jodi gets into a car accident causing her to lose her memory. Together with Tristan, they start a new life. Cholo is led to believe that Jodi is dead, and Jodi is named as Jenna. So he came to a time when he was engaged to Eunice. However, when they meet again one day, he is determined to remind her of the love they had for one another.

Former Co-Teachers

They are my former co-teachers when I'm still teaching at the public school in Lantic Elementary. I really missed working with them. The laughter, the green jokes and of course the brainstorming when it comes to teachers' works. Last tuesday, I invited them to my nest to have a bonding again. Of course as I expected, we really had a great time, just like the old days..

Devastated Houses

Having my own nest we're really a dream come true although it's not that big but I'm so happy and satisfied. House is always first in the list whenever a couple wanted to have as their own. But, look what Ondoy and Pepeng did. Just like the snap of a finger, they furiously washed out the houses that the family invested for long years. It was so devastated to see the houses full of mud, the roof was the only visible and the worst thing... no house at all. Every time I watched the news, I really felt sad for all those people who lost their houses and also loved ones.  But I believed, Filipinos are real survivor... True believer and followers of Christ. These were just storms that test our faith in Him. For my fellow Filipinos, don't loose hope.... Start from the scratch again. Remember, there will always a rainbow after the rain....

White Christmas Tree

This coming sunday, Hubby and Me will go to divisoria to buy our first ever christmas tree. We're pretty much excited to do the shopping because this is our first christmas as a couple. We decided to have a white christmas tree to jive in our red paint. As I surf the net to get some ideas how to decorate our tree, here are the things I found:

Of course, our favorite color, blue...

I like the arrangement of light...

Anyway, maybe our decoration will depend on what we will buy. I'm sure divisoria will offer thousands of christmas ornaments. Wait for my post for our own christmas tree...

Friday Fillins # 2

And...here we go!

1. I have a history of attempted rape. When I was young, I fond of playing outside even if I'm alone. Good thing, I became clever that day so when the man told me to get near of him when his unzipping his pants I hurriedly run so fast and hid at the back of our door. Thanks for my guardian angels! You know what, I told this with my Nanay and Tatay just a couple of months ago.

2. Being a Math Wizard is something I wish I knew. But God still loves me, even I'm not very good in calculating numbers, he send me the man of my life that has a degree in engineering.
3. I'm eating (or recently ate) my favorite adobong pusit cooked by my Nanay.
4. It was still very dusty on the road brought by the recent flood.

5. So that's it, that's the moment I'm waiting for... To be a friday filler member hehehe...
6. Try and try is better than nothing!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to go to divisoria and buy our first christmas tree to be placed in our love nest, tomorrow my plans include decorating our christmas tree and Sunday, after attending the mass I want to sit and relax while singing a christmas song in front of our christmas tree!

Less Coffee for ME

Although, it is against my will, I will lessen my habit of  drinking coffee. I'm not a coffee addict because I just had it once a day or sometimes if I'm in the mood I will drink at noon or night. The reason for this is my dillema on my pimples. When I come back here in the Philippines, I started to drink coffee (since the fruits here are expensive), and I noticed that my pimples are like mushrooms that suddenly comes out. When my other pimple was getting dry or healed, here comes the other one and it makes me really irritated because it's really painful, itchy and left my face with some blemishes eewwww... Even I put on some moisturizer, it can't help. Until I read the blog of my sister-in-law,  (who has a problem also in her pimples) according to her research, addiction in coffee or tea is not good for acne maybe because of the caffeine isn't it? Well, just to bring back the softness of my face I will sacrifice for this... Goodluck to ME ;)

Friday Fillins # 1

And here we go....

1. One week ago, we didn't have our class due to typhoon Ondoy.

2. I'd like to play "doktor-doktoran", when I was young.

3. Mama told me (so many to mention hehehe....)
4. We will face the world with laughter and tears, you and me.
5. Take your time to thanks God in all the small and big blessings that you had.

6. Time will pass very fast! So make the very best of your life!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to be with my hubby, tomorrow my plans include washing clothes  and Sunday, I want to see a movie!

Tiles Hunting

I didn't finish this post  yesterday,  because the internet service provider were so slow so I got irritated and stop my blogging. But today it was good now so I am in the mood to finish this hehehe...As I said yesterday, christmas is just around the corner but before this season to come, Hubby and Me hoping that our floor will be tiles so that our house will be fully furnished at least just the inside of our nest. I think our budget will just right if our salary will be in joint forces hehehe... I think we will just spend more or less P10,000. I'm looking for a nice tiles on the net, but I don't like all the tiles that I saw. Maybe, it's much better we will find by ourselves since somewhere in Binan and San Pedro most shops were in sale or bargain especially the yuletide season is coming...

Smell of Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!! hohohoho.... Actually I'm very late to welcome the BER months, but I'm still in the mood to make this post hehehe... It's still vivid in my memory when I was in Hongkong that I'm always counting the days to be in BER months. Why I'm anticipating these months? Well, because BER months means:
1. Going back to the Philippines to be with my family.
2. Done in saving my dollar to convert all in peso.
3. I will have peace of mind and more time to relax.
4. Especially, more time in hugging and kissing my hon (now he's my Hubby)
Hmmmm..... that was a year ago.... the time really passed so fast. Now,  another year again to come... My only wish this Christmas.... Have our baby... so,  we are three in the family to welcome the BER months :)

Hubby and Me

This is my first  post of my hubby and Me. We had our favorite merienda food, the banana cue. This was taken in our living room. We painted it red, but we didn't paint the whole living room red for it makes really dark. We just painted the window part and the one in the picture. I had a picture of every part of my little nest but the time passed so fast so I don't have enough time. Hopefully, tomorrow hehehe...

I just peep in to say hi and hello!!! I don't have enough time because I will wash our clothes. Unfortunately, its still raining so it's very hard to dry the clothes. Hubby and I were planning to buy clothes hanging rack  but the budget still doesn't fit. Anyway, if the budget permits, we will buy like this:

Busy... Busy...

For two weeks, I will just have an hour to use the computer, so it means I don't have enough time to do some searching and surfing the net... Why I'm busy? Coz' He was so generous to gave me three tutorial services. Although, the two of them will not take for so long, I'm very grateful to earned extra money (aside from my salary as a teacher). As  I always prayed for this intention, it is true that FAITH can move mountain.

Smiley Tootbrush Holder

I bought this when I accidentally passed by in a home accessories shop in Tsam Tsui Po, Hongkong. I think its just cost $8. The moment I saw it, the word I uttered was CUTE !!! Agree??

Nice Bathroom Shelf

I'm here again. Always excited to blog about my nest. We just finished painting our whole nest. Correction we didn't paint it all by ourselves - hubby and Me, we hired a painter since we really don't have the knowledge to paint it properly and besides we wanted the output to be presentable not to be abstract hahaha :) just wait for my post about my newly painted nest. Anyway back to the bathroom, I saw this again in IKEA I love the glass shelves at the side of the sink. The mirror with wall lamp and of course, wow! the cabinets. I wish I could find the same material. This bathroom was really organized and it seems that once you sit down on that toilet bowl, you will feel you don't want to go out. I hope hubby and Me will save a lot to make this dream bathroom come true.

My Dream Knife

This is the Wusthof Classic Black Chef's Knives. When I was in hongkong I always eyeing this kind of knife hoping they will be on sale. Unfortunately, even a single cent didn't. This brand is really great because you can use it for a lifetime. It's really durable and quality tested. When I checked the price in dollar whoa!!!! Well, I will just always looked at this picture to fulfill my dream LOL ;)

Painting Glossary

Were not yet through in painting our nest. The outside part is still bare and still need to save some money because it will still  cost thousand of pesos OMG!!! This glossary is very helpful so we can pick the right quality of the paint.

                                                                     Painting Glossary

Ever wander into a paint store and get brain freeze as you're sorting through paint chips, trying to figure out the difference between finishes? Here's the deal:

Latex paint is best for most jobs, including walls and trim. It’s easy to clean up (because it’s water-based), has less of an odor, and dries more quickly than oil-based paint.

Oil paint has a very durable finish, good for wood surfaces in high-traffic areas (like doors or hallway trim) or high-moisture areas (like a bathroom). It's difficult to clean up, if left to dry more than 1 hour.

Flat finish is a no-shine finish, good for covering imperfections on your walls. It won’t wash well, so it’s not good for high-traffic spots.

Eggshell finish has a slight sheen (good for busy areas because blemishes can wash away). Use it in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and hallways.

Semigloss finish is shiny and washable, ideal for setting apart doors and windowsills from surfaces with flat paint. Use for trim, shutters, bathroom, and kitchen.

High-gloss finish is super-shiny and very durable. Used mostly for trim and floors.

Low-VOC paint can often be mixed to order in different finishes. Its base is odorless and better for you and the environment.

Wall Shelves

I found this wall shelves at the IKEA hongkong. When I was in hongkong I've always checked this store for they have so many beautiful and affordable home appliances. I really missed shopping in this store with my cousin. Unfortunately, there's no IKEA in the Philippines. I hope there will be someday. Anyway, I save this photo for my reference because my nest is small, wall cabinets are very accessible.

New Blog

This is my new blog. I'm pretty much excited to create this page because its all about our home. For two years working abroad and through the perseverance of my hubby, thanks God we were able to build our little home. We are almost 2 months living there, and in that home we will build our dreams with our children. In the next few days, I will post some picture so, wait for it :) As of now I'm busy surfing the net for some decorations that will add spice to our nest. I'm also looking for sale items in kitchen utensils, since I love to cook ;) Happy reading to all. Your comments are very much welcome :)
